Well Servicing

Our Well Servicing offers a versatile fleet of well-maintained service rigs for well completion, workover, abandonment, and re-entry preparation services, as well as snubbing and coil tubing units for pressure control services. The fleet is strategically positioned throughout various geographical locations worldwide.

Service Rigs

Our Well Servicing operates the largest fleet of service rigs in Canada, offering a wide range of products focused upon delivering a safe, high quality service to our customers. We provide experienced competent employees that operate equipment in all areas including heavy oil, SAGD in northeast Alberta, and deep critical sour gas operations in Alberta’s foothills.

 

Snubbing Services

Drawing on decades of experience gained while servicing live wells around the globe, our Well Servicing Snubbing Services is Canada’s number one provider of rig assist, self-contained and fit for purpose well control equipment. Our equipment and experienced crews provide solutions for clients in well control situations, extended reach completions, and all underbalanced operations that utilize 5K and 10K snubbing equipment.

 

Coil Tubing Services

Our Well Servicing Coil Tubing Services address customers’ specific needs for downhole completions and maintenance services on horizontal wells utilizing our Super Coil Tubing units and 15K pumping equipment. Our fleet of conventional and mast coil tubing units are designed to transport and deploy the maximum lengths of 2” to 3 1/2” diameter coil tubing, with advanced specifications and features that meet the needs of our customers utilizing extended reach technologies to develop unconventional resources.

 

Fluid and Nitrogen Pumping

Our Well Servicing low rate nitrogen pumping equipment and fluid pumpers offer a variety of service options including, coil tubing and snubbing services support, Diagnostic Fracture Injection Testing (DFIT) and other pumping services where redundant pumping capability, chemical mixing and data recording is required.

Our High Performance equipment is supported by internal systems for engineering, design, manufacturing and repair & maintenance. The integrated internal functions promote increased reliability, lower costs and enable us to consistently deliver technology innovations to the field.

 

Rig Construction

Through our Nisku Facilities and Houston Technical Service Centre, we maintain control over the rig construction process. Using our systems and scale, from the procurement of materials, fabrication and assembly, through to final commissioning and testing, our integrated model delivers cost savings, higher quality and greater consistency while ensuring on-time deliveries.

 

Repair & Maintenance

Our centralized repair and maintenance functions at our Tech Centres in Nisku, AB and Houston, TX are supported by a network of service centres strategically located in major resource basins and field-based technicians.

Through Rostel Industries, we can refurbish and repair equipment and components, providing customers with High Value engineering expertise and services that meet their specific needs.

 

Oilfield Supply

Columbia Oilfield Supply in Nisku, Canada and PD Supply in Houston, U.S. are general supply warehouses that procure, package and distribute large volumes of consumable oilfield supplies. The two supply warehouses achieve economies of scale through bulk purchasing, standardized product selection and coordinated distribution to our rig sites. Columbia Oilfield Supply and PD Supply play a key role in our supply chain management consistently delivering High Performance, High Value services.

EOR-OIL PRODUCTION IMPROVEMENT TECHNOLOGY

Enhanced oil recovery (EOR) is the technique or process where the physicochemical (physical and chemical) properties of the rock are changed to enhance the recovery of hydrocarbon. The properties of the reservoir fluid system which are affected by EOR process are chemical, biochemical, density, miscibility, interfacial tension (IFT)/surface tension (ST), viscosity and thermal. EOR often is called tertiary recovery if it is performed after water flooding.

Enhanced oil recovery (EOR) is the process of obtaining stranded oil not recovered from an oil reservoir through certain extraction processes. EOR uses methods including thermal recovery, gas injection, chemical injection and low-salinity water flooding. Although these techniques are expensive and not always effective, scientists are particularly interested in EOR's potential to increase domestic oil production.
